The founders of the Dolphin Project Inc. (Dolphin) were researchers in the world of Geophysics and Signal Processing. Working on advanced signal processing in the 1980’s they innovated the concept of data bases, compact algorithms to reduce CPU times and improve computational accuracy. – This was in the days when each internal department was charged for CPU time.
One of the found members of Dolphin was Shaffiq Kotadia who was a major contributor to the development of the one of the first Geophysical workstations in the industry working with Calgary, Alberta oil companies and Sun Microsystems.
Dolphin evolved into a company dedicated to finding innovating solutions to technological problems. As a company founded with academic focus, Dolphin has always been committed to sharing their knowledge and working as an active community member with it’s partners.
Since innovating one of the first Geophysical workstations in the industry in 1989, members of Dolphin have made significant contributions to the telematics and on-line data security.
